Playground Program

Information:  Boys and girls ages 6 to 12 can come and enjoy all the fun and excitement at our local parks this year!  A qualified staff will organize daily activities for your children such as games, arts & crafts and sports activities.  There are weekly field trips, at an extra cost, to such sites as Slinky Action Zone, Holiday Bowl, Memorial Pool, Galactic Ice, Carmike Theater, Curve Baseball Park and Lakemont Park.  Several special guests will surprise the children throughout the summer.  There is a special event, Carnival of Games, at the end of the summer for the children to enjoy and the staff is working on scheduling a special event for Session I.

SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS:  This is a drop-in program!  Attendance is neither mandatory nor enforced.  The staff supervises activities and encourages your child to participate. However, they DO NOT PREVENT your child from leaving the playground area if your child desires to leave. It is the PARENTS’ responsibility to discuss with their child when he/she may leave the playground.  The playground program is NOT a rain or shine program due to the lack of indoor facilities at ALL sites. Call our HOTLINE at 949-2234 for current cancellation information.

*NEW THIS YEAR: Registrations for Juniata Memorial Park will have an option to purchase a special pass that would include the Playground Program as well as entrance into Memorial Pool.  This pass can be used anytime for the pool during this four week program.  The cost is $85.00 per participant.  If your child registers for the second session, he or she will have the option to purchase another four week special pool pass at a cost of $85.00.  The first session pool pass will NOT carry over to the second session.
