Winter Competitive Swim Clinic – Would you like to improve your swimming skills and eventually compete on your high school’s swim team or another competitive program? This is a structured competitive swimming program designed to teach and improve on stroke techniques, disciplined water workouts, as well as starts and turns. The clinic is run by Altoona Area High School Swim Coach, Andy Smearman. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards without stopping to qualify. No non swimmers or beginner swimmers, please. This program includes a swim cap and certificate of participation. This clinic is for kids in grades 3 through 11th. The clinic will be held March 6th through April 12th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM. There is a maximum of 45 participants (15 minimum) for this clinic. The cost is $70.00 and is held at the Altoona Area High School Pool. Scholarships are available for low to moderate income Altoona Area School District residents.
