Would you like to improve your swimming skills and eventually compete on your high school’s swim team or another competitive program? This is a structured competitive swimming program designed to teach and improve on stroke techniques, disciplined water workouts, as well as starts and turns. The clinic, for kids ages 7 to 18, is run by former Altoona Area High School Swim Coach, Andy Smearman. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards without stopping to qualify. No non-swimmers or beginner swimmers, please. This program includes a certificate of participation. The 10 session clinic will be held at Prospect Pool from 9am-10am on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays beginning July 6th and ending July 27th. Cost is $65.00, with scholarships available for low to moderate income Altoona Area School District residents. Registration deadline: Monday, July 2, 2018.
