During the past year, the Central Blair Recreation and Park Commission implemented an improvement program for area ballfields. To further the program and upgrade our playing facilities, the Commission is providing area businesses and organizations the opportunity to support local athletics and help with ballfield improvements. Companies can advertise their business on professionally-done 5’ x 10’ aluminum signs with a baked enamel finish, which will be placed along the outfield fence at Veteran’s Memorial Field. The two-year contract includes the artwork and sign preparation for a fee of $500.
Vets Field has an extremely large number of people attending various athletic and special events during the months of April through October. Vets Field is used by many local baseball leagues including: The George B. Kelley Federation, Altoona Teener League, Greater City League, Club Altoona and Bishop Guilfoyle High School. The NABF Regional Tournament, plus the PIAA District and Inter-District playoffs utilize the site as well. During the fall months, the Commission’s Elementary Flag Football program monopolizes the site for league games. With such strong exposure to the residents of Blair County, your corporate advertising sign will reach numerous potential customers attending these events.
