This eight-week evening and Saturday program is for children age 4 (before July 31, 2018) or age 5. While learning the rules of baseball, participants will be taught the fundamentals of baseball, including hitting, fielding and base running. Additional skills, such as teamwork and good sportsmanship, will be also be focused upon. Participants will hit the ball off of a tee; there will be no pitching. Players will need a baseball glove.
We are so pleased that PJ and Jon Burkin will instruct our BATON BOOT CAMP, for girls and boys in grades 1-3 from 5:30 to 6:15 and grades 4-6 from 6:30 to 7:15. Held at the Sixth Ward Center on Monday nights beginning, April 16th. Cost is $42, scholarships are available, register by this Thursday, April 12th. CBRC twirlers will represent the Commission in the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28th.
Join this fun class that will use words and music to create little masterpieces! You’ll learn the basics of writing poetry and short stories using music as inspiration. Students will learn to write haiku, stanza and lyrical poetry as well as the basics of short story telling.
